Identifying Activities & Dependencies and Scheduling



 

  • In the Activity window you create stages within in the project plan and work packages within stages — then allocate products to stages and to work packages, as and when you require, by dragging and dropping from the Product Checklist
  • For each product dragged and dropped into the Activity window two generic activities appear automatically: create product, quality check product. These activities can be easily edited (e.g. deleted or replaced by more appropriately named activities) and further activities added as required
  • You can enter planned and actual progress, effort and cost information for each activity so that you have a self contained planning and monitoring environment
  • If you need more power then the activity plan is readily exported to MS Project™, if it is installed — the dependencies inherent in the PFD are maintained within the MS Project™ plan (ask about integration with other project management tools)
