- Planning is an ongoing process throughout the project
- PRINCE2™ has the following types of plan - all supported
by P2WORLD Planning:
- Project Plan: baseline against which to monitor project progress and cost - stage by stage
- identifies major products, activities, resources and budget required to complete the project
- identifies the project stages
- Stage Plan: basis for control by the project manager
- identifies products, activities and resources required to meet stage objectives
- records timescale, budget and tolerances
- identifies quality checks/methods/resources for each product
- Team Plan: basis for management of a Work Package
- identifies products, activities and resources required to meet Work Package objectives
- Exception Plan: replaces any of the above plans from point where exception forecast occurred to end of the plan
